Supported Games | Game Sign-Ups | Reporting Scores

While the Inter-Club Training Event is running, current and prospective clubs of the Outer Rim War Alliance are invited to come to #outerrim (as described in "Scheduled Events") to engage in multi-player combat against other Star Wars enthusiasts. The following is a short list of common games that are supported at the Inter-Club Training Event:

SUPPORTED GAMES
X-Wing Alliance (XWA)
X-Wing vs TIE Fighter (XvT)
Jedi Knight (JK)
Jedi Outcast (JO)
Jedi Academy (JA)
Galactic Battlegrounds (GB)
Galaxies (GXY)
Republic Commando (RC)
Allegiance (Alleg)
Battlefront (BF)
Battlefront 2 (BF2)
Empire at War (EaW)
MERC (Special Event) (MERC)
Moon Duel (Special Event) (MOON)

This is not an all inclusive list of supported games. We use all major Star Wars games that support multi-player gaming. If you can find another player who is able to play a Star Wars game not listed here, we can add that game to "bot" (described below) and a match can be set up.

GAME SIGN-UPS
Each Inter-Club Training Event is hosted by a member of the Outer Rim War Alliance. The host runs a "bot" in #outerrim which is used to intiate matches between attending players. All matches which are to be included as "official matches" must be set-up in the #outerrim channel, using the bot.

For example, if I wanted to set up a 2-player match of X-Wing Alliance, I would type:

!signup XWA

in the #outerrim channel window. I would then see the following text displayed once I type that command:

<Pyralis|ICTE>: Smoke20 signed in for XWA

This confirms that I have signed up to play XWA. In the case of a 2-player match, once another player signs in to play XWA, the match is formed. When the match is formed, for a game like XvT or XWA, the players then decide who will host, for how long, and which craft will be used (and any other specifics). In the case of a game like JO or JA, the players must agree on a common server, what game-type they'll be playing (full force sabers, no force guns, etc), and how many games they will play, etc. Once a match is formed, you might see the following text:

<(Pyralis|ICTE>: JO Team1: Korras VS Team2: Strategos

Players are not limited to 2-person games! You can also participate in 4-person games, 6-person games, 8-person games. You can also do 3-person, 5-person, 7-person games, etc if players agree to uneven teams. There is really no limit to what sort of combinations you want to do in the Inter-Club Training Event so long as all the involved players agree to the conditions of the match. If I wanted to set up a 4-person JO match, I might type:

!signup JO 2vs2

Then, when 3 other people sign up, the match is formed. It's that simple. In the case of matches involving more than 2 people, players are free to choose which players are on which teams. However, in the case of dispute, always go with the teams chosen by the bot.

REPORTING SCORES
So you've played your match. Now what? Well, you probably want to get credit for the matches you just played. Each club has its own way of rewarding players for their participation in the Inter-Club Training Event. In order for your matches to count, you must report the scores for the match.

The winner of each match must use the ICTE reporting system located here. Simply choose the date of the current event, and click "Add Match", then fill out the form with all the information. Should you make an error, contact the host and he will fix it as soon as possible.

All of this information is recorded into a spreadsheet (or battle, with the new system) which keeps record of the entire ICTE event for that day. You can view all of the archived spreadsheets from the menu at the left - choose "Event Archives."
